Naoussa Paros doesn’t feature many attractions. Yet there are few which you can visit. In the slider above you can photos of them and below, there is useful information.

VENETIAN FORTRESS

The Venetian fortress in the picturesque port of Naoussa, adds a touch of history to this traditional and beautiful place. It is a pleasant surprise for the island’s guests, especially during night.  The fortress was built in the early 14th century. In the 15th century was renovated by Sommaripa, the family that dominated in Paros until 1517. To reach the ruins of the castle, a greater part of which is now submerged, you have to walk on the wall that protects the port of Naoussa. During days with strong north winds, waves crash before the wall and you may get wet. In the picturesque port of Naoussa, you will find many taverns and cafes.

KIMISIS THEOTOKOU CHURCH

Kimisis Theotokou is the biggest church in Naoussa Paros and the third biggest in Paros. Due to its dominating location, you will be able to see it from every corner of the village. This amazing church features small narthex built in 19th century. This is the main historic attraction. To reach it you will have to walk uphill and then, 16 marble steps the main entrance of the church. It is worth it as on the way, you will explore alleys of Naoussa Paros. During the night the church is impressively enlightened and visible even from the ships, passing outside of Naoussa Bay.

MORAITIS WINERY

Moraitis is probably the most famous Paros winery. It started producing local wine in 1910 and today, it features award winning products. While you visit it, you can participate in wine tasting experience. The winery is easy reachable by foot from Naoussa center. Find it on map and you will be there in 10 minutes.
